Senior full stack PHP Developer

We’re looking for a talented Developer to join our growing team in Wingrave, Aylesbury. As a digital communications agency we’re not only looking for someone with sound coding knowledge who is excited to push boundaries and passionate about all things digital. As the new member of the team, you'll be keen to keep yourself up to date with the latest digital trends and have a thorough understanding of digital processes.

An example day could see you working on a wide variety of digital build projects including: campaign microsites, CMS websites, e-learning portals, HTML5 interactive touchscreens and HTML emailers. This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to join a fun, creative agency and have the chance to work on high profile projects across a range of industry sectors.

The ideal person will have:

  • Excellent hand coding skills to include HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and PHP (intermediate / advanced)
  • Extensive knowledge of CMS platforms such as Joomla/Wordpress and responsive framework such as Bootstrap and MySQL
  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a similar technical discipline
  • At least 3 years experience as a web developer (previous agency experience a must)
  • A keen eye for detail and a good understanding of UX
  • A willingness to learn new things in a fast paced technical environment
  • A positive can-do attitude and a passion for technology
  • Ability to collaborate with other developers working remotely in the team to achieve successful delivery
  • Experience programming with .net is desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of Xcode / PhoneGap for producing apps is a distinct advantage

Senior Digital Project Manager

What you'll be doing as Digital Project Manager

Project Management:

+ Overseeing projects from brief through to completion with responsibility for budgeting, writing quotes and creating workflow schedules
+ Handling communication and management between client (and any 3rd parties) and the team in-house
+ Working to tight deadlines whilst maintaining strong relationships with clients and providing exceptional service (this is one of our USPs)
+ Liaising with developers working remotely/in-house, aiding in outlining project scope with excellent attention to detail
+ Ability to tactically and strategically manage projects whilst taking ownership of them
+ Writing functional spec documents, alongside the development team
+ Using Trello to assist in testing and bug reporting

Strategic Planning:

+ Getting involved with contributing ideas for winning new business and strategic planning for growth
+ Writing digital communications strategies for clients
+ Researching and identifying new business opportunities and revenue streams

Creative / Pitch:

+ Creative thinking, problem-solving and brainstorming
+ Attending client meetings to discuss their goals and ideas
+ Be confident to aid pitch presentations at Director/ Board level

Social Media:

+ Writing blogs on industry innovation
+ Actively promoting the company’s social media accounts and growing online presence
+ Content amends to client websites using a CMS
+ Adding / editing content using Google Webmaster tools to enhance SEO (training will be given as necessary)

PPC Management (indirectly):

+ Working with our PPC strategists to oversee campaigns on a top level (training will be given as necessary)
+ Confidence reporting results back to clients and explaining the data
+ Writing PPC strategies based on our in-house approach

The ideal Digital Project Manager would:

+ Have current digital project management experience in a digital agency environment (3+ years min)
+ Use their initiative to get things done and be a self starter
+ Thrive in an incredibly fast paced environment
+ Have determination to go the extra mile to get the best results
+ Be happy to work on a mac
+ Possess strong communication skills across all levels and a strong customer service focus
+ Have fantastic organisational awareness and high work standards, with an attention to detail
